I have a lot of nice things, but as someone once said ‘you can’t see them!’ Camille was a gem, with a quiet, easy, non-judgmental approach. We would look at a room, then go through the detail foot by foot. And in the end, both the feeling and view of the rooms changed - no new objects, just how to display. She also assisted me with furniture arrangement (no new furniture, just relocation). Again, I had new views and welcoming rooms. “My experience working with Camille was wonderful; a design adventure to be sure! I live in Boston and was able to have a Skype session with Camille. I reached out to discuss my living room; I had moved into a new place 6 months prior and had to buy everything at once. The room didn’t feel “finished” to me but I was afraid of buying too much.
Camille began by having me talk through the elements I wanted in the room and then asked me a series of questions to dig deeper. When probed it was like a light had turned on and I finally put a label on what I really needed and got to the root of the matter. Seriously, this was an AHA moment and I immediately felt both excited and at ease – I was 100% confident in her!
Next, I gave Camille a virtual tour of the space a la laptop in hand ;) She had many suggestions right off the bat and as I was IN the room I could visualize and say, YES or actually no, because, etc. We kept talking until it was very clear to both of us what the next steps would be and I felt 100% in a good space. We concluded with next steps: Camille would put a Pinterest board together for me with a collection of options for various items I wanted. The board contained 30 suggestions and all were from Target, Home Goods and IKEA (well within the price points I had requested.)
